Recommended Crib Maintenance

Crib Inspection Checklist

Steps 4 Safety™

Proper crib maintenance is a necessary action on the part of child care providers to ensure cribs they are using with their infants are safe and secure. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends performing crib safety checks on a regular basis. Furthermore, the CPSC recommends taking a crib out of service if any problems are found during the safety check. The checklist below is provided to assist the caregiver in inspecting and properly maintaining their cribs.
