Dear Foundations Customers and Consumers: On June 24, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of certain Child Craft brand cribs with a drop-side feature that were manufactured between 2000 and 2009. At the same time, the CPSC announced a recall on a Child Craft fixed-side crib because it has a component that may be installed upside down and, as a result of improper assembly, may present a safety risk. On July 31, 2009, Foundations Worldwide, Inc., purchased the Child Craft brand and a select group of other assets from Child Craft, LLC.  Foundations did not design, manufacture, or sell the cribs that are subject to this recall and assumed no product liabilities from Child Craft LLC.

Please note that no Foundations brand cribs are subject to this recall and, hence, if you own a Foundations crib there is no need for concern.

Though Foundations has no obligation to do so, we feel it is appropriate to take whatever steps possible to satisfy consumer’s needs and concerns about these cribs. In that spirit Foundations has worked closely with the CPSC to formulate a corrective action plan and provide consumer service for the recalled cribs.
