Cribs For Child Care Centers |
U.S. CHILD CARE CENTERS MUST REPLACE ALL NON-COMPLIANT CRIBS BY DECEMBER 28, 2012
On December 28, 2010 the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) implemented sweeping new crib safety standards for traditional cribs made from steel and wood. In addition to eliminating drop-sides, cribs now require extensive new structural enhancements and labeling, as well as, allowing for alternate designs for accessing infant, such as a drop-gate crib side. Under the new guidelines no traditional cribs, both fixed-side and drop-side, may remain in service after December 28, 2012 that are not compliant to these new standards and, as a result, must be replaced. Hence, if you purchase child care cribs today that do not meet the new Federal standards your investment will be short lived.
Foundations® is pleased to introduce new traditional wood and steel cribs for child care centers that are certified compliant to the new CPSC standards. Though mesh and fabric products such as play yards are not affected by the new standards, we will be introducing a complete new line in August 2011 that offers comfort and style previously not available to hotels. All Foundations cribs have been redesigned to address today's safety concerns while providing unparalleled satisfaction to your most discriminating guests. Rest assured that the Foundations hotel cribs you invest in today will provide peace of mind for years to come.
